Destination URL

What is a Destination URL?

Most Internet marketing campaigns use destination URLs. These are the web pages visitors will land on when they click an advert or link; in many advertising platforms, this is not the same as the display URL.

The Destination URL is where you want the user to go after they have read your copy. It can be a landing page, an email signup form, or any other call-to-action that you would like them to follow through on.

Within a sponsored advertisement for your site, you may choose to either show the destination URL or home page URL.

What is a Display URL?

A Display URL is what the visitor will see in the browser window after they have clicked an advert or link. It can be set to any web page you would like, but it must match exactly with your Destination URL for visitors to reach their destination successfully.
